Horns, Heads, Mountains & a Scarlett Woman

There's certainly a lot of symbolism in the Bible. For example, we know that Jesus spoke about his church in many different ways.  Sometimes he calls us his bride and other times we are his brothers.  We are called sheep or wheat while the Kingdom is called leavening, mountains and a rock.

The point is each story explain something different. The kingdoms of this world and the false religion is referred to in many different ways as well. Each one adding knowledge and clarity to the one before. But sometimes we confuse and carryover meanings to another story or in fact mix stories.

For example Jesus refers to leavening as sin during the spring festival, however, he later refers to leavening as the way the kingdom of God spreads out. We mustn't get those meanings confused or intertwine those stories.

With that in mind and let us dive into the various names use for the beast and the false prophet.

Horns, Heads, Mountains & a Loud Mouth

In Daniel 2 we have an introduction to the kingdoms that will rule the world from the time that Daniel receives this interpretation all the way until the return of Jesus Christ. He is given the interpretation of what the huge statue means but  let's face it, there are a lot of kingdoms to cover.

We learn quickly that the head of the statue is Nebuchadnezzar and there are three more kingdoms to follow. Each inferior in quality but actually stronger as the various metals show.

Other scriptures make clear that the Silver Kingdom is the Persian Empire, the brass Kingdom is the Grecian empire and, strongest of all, is the Roman empire, represented by iron legs.

There will be other places in Daniel that go into more detail of the transitions that occur between these empires.

For example, the Grecian empire has a leader that has no children but his empires divided up into quarters with one part becoming especially strong. We see that in the history of Alexander the Great. He had no children and was struck down at an early age leaving his empire to four generals.

Being the third empire, it eventually would be devoured completely by the next and fourth empire pictured by the legs, feet and toes of the great image.

History clearly shows that it is this fourth Beast is the Roman Empire and takes over the world.  It will have many Resurrections occurring over the next 2,000 plus years.

In the days of this empire the Messiah will come, first as the suffering Messiah and 2,000 years later as a returning conquering King.

The Ten Toes and a Stone

Ten Toes are 10 Kings.

In verse 44 we are told that the 10 toes, are in fact 10 Kings. These are partly clay and partly iron.  They don't stick together very well.  It's in the days of these ten  kings that the Messiah will return.

As this fourth beast takes over from the Greek Empire and is ruling at Christ’s return that means it will rule an awfully long time.  Its rule will be interrupted for some years but will reappear at the end of days.  This is the kingdom that in addition to killing the Christ by crucifixion it will fight against that Resurrected Christ at his return.  This is shown in vs. 34 and vs. 45 of the 2nd Chapter of Daniel.

Christ is the “stone cut out without hands” and after smashing the toes, or kingdoms,  it grows into the mountain of the Lord.  That mountain or  Kingdom of God will replace this Babylonian Empire.

This first introduction to the world empires, though it covers a lot of territory it is just that, an introduction and overview.

Will the rule of this Roman fourth Kingdom be continuous until Christ’s return or will it be interrupted at times?

That information will come in additional prophecies and those prophecies will reveal more detail.

The Second and Third Kingdoms

In Chapter seven a bit more information is revealed about the 2nd and 3rd Kingdom of the statue.  They are the Persian and the Grecian empires.

That first kingdom the Lion, is Babylon and Nebuchadnezzar. We remember how as King, he was made a beast for a while and then was raised up and given a man's heart.

Next, we learn a little bit about the second beast, which is likened to a Bear and it had three ribs which later you will see and history tells us are three kingdoms that the Persian Empire devours on its way to world rule.

That is followed by the Grecian empire represented by a Leopard with four wings on the back.  This is showing how rapidly this coming empire would spread across the earth. The four wings represent the four Generals that took over the Empire when Alexander the Great died of syphilis in his early thirties.  He was without an heir and the generals divided the kingdom amongst themselves.

Because all of these prophecies were given to Nebuchadnezzar, as the head of Babylon, it makes sense that all of these kingdoms from this point until the return of Christ can be called Babylonian.

The Fourth Beast Interests Daniel

The prophet Daniel receives yet another more detailed vision revealing more information about this terrible fourth beast.  It is recorded in Chapter 7 after briefly covering empires one through three.

After this summary it quickly it goes into much greater detail concerning this terrible and very different fourth beast.

Now we are going to spend a lot more time and detail and be introduced to new symbols as we get to the fourth kingdom in this vision.

Remember this is the most dreadful Kingdom and by far the strongest since it was made with iron. We see it has iron teeth and devours all the other kingdoms taking on and exhibiting the strongest characteristics of all the empires it swallows up.

The Rise of Rome

The early Roman Empire controlled so much of the earth and for so long that it is estimated that one in four people who have ever lived did so under the rule of the Roman Empire.

This empire or beast is said to be different because, unlike the other kingdoms, this one will have many resurrections.  In fact there will be 10 total resurrections, represented by 10 horns.  But we will learn that the last 7 resurrections will be very DIFFERENT.  So different that the name of those seven empires will be changed.

Rome begins as a secular empire under the rule of the Caesars beginning in 146 B.C.  This secular empire under the direction of the devil will be ruling when the Messiah appears and will do all it can to “devour” the child as shown in Revelation.

[Rev 12:1-4 KJV] 1 And there appeared a great wonder in heaven; a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and upon her head a crown of twelve stars: 2 And she being with child cried, travailing in birth, and pained to be delivered.

3 And there appeared another wonder in heaven; and behold a great red dragon, having seven heads and ten horns, and seven crowns upon his heads.

4 And his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven, and did cast them to the earth: and the dragon stood before the woman which was ready to be delivered, for to devour her child as soon as it was born.

This empire is used by the devil. It will later persecute Christians, even feeding them to the lions in Rome during their festival games.

A big change to this empire comes in 476 A.D. when instead of the empire persecuting Christians it becomes its self “Christian”.  From now on it is known  as the “Holy Roman Empire”.  This was as a result of the death bed “conversion” to Christianity by the Roman Emperor Constantine.

In Daniel 7 we learn of a smaller image of that empire comes will come alive.  It is called a little horn or a little Kingdom.  It is a “mini-me” version of the holy Roman Empire.

It is religious as it is found to have a great mouth speaking great things against God and his people.  Its look was “more stout” because we’ll find this same little horn will rule over the last 7 of the 10 horns.  It is a called a horn as the others are because it is a kingdom but this one will out last all the others.

In history we find the “holy” Roman Empires now being ruled by a Universal Church, or a Catholic Church, for that is what the word “Catholic” means, Universal.

In other places we’ll see this Little horn is portrayed as a woman. A fallen woman now with power to direct a POWERFUL empire to do her bidding.  She is responsible for the deaths of many that fail to bow the knee to her beliefs and doctrines.

The prophecy say that they will change times and laws which later we shall see her change the the Sabbath to Sunday, exchanged holy days like the Passover for the pagan holiday Easter.  And they re-ordered the 10 Commandments after removing the second commandment concerning idols.

Obedience to her new doctrines will be required upon pain of death.

That is NOT good news for true believers.  No wonder Daniel had more interest in this final beast.

The little horn is a Kingdom

In the KJV it says “another”, meaning another horn shall arise after them. This does not mean “after them” in the sense of a time frame but it means after the like or likeness or an image of the other horns. In other words a very small but stout Kingdom, (Dan 7:20-21).  Verse 21 states it will “wage war against God’s holy people” (NLT).

The papacy and the Vatican certainly make up a kingdom. In modern times the Vatican is considered a sovereign nation and even has its own Ambassador.

All the following Roman Empires, beginning with Emperor Constantine's conversion to Christianity became known as the "holy" Roman Empires.

The kings of these new Empires and the little stout horn always formed an alliance.

The little stout horn lent the name "holy" to the Empire.  The special small horn, or kingdom that controlled the new Roman Empires begin to refer to itself as "the bride of Christ" but later we will find the Bible in the book of Revelation refers to her as a prostitute committing adultery with the kings of the earth.

It is a far cry from being the bride of Christ.  She will exercise a lot of control over these other horns or kingdoms and in Revelation 17 she is shown as riding and reining a seven headed scarlet Beast which represents the last 7 holy Roman Empires).

[Rev 17:3 KJV] 3 So he carried me away in the spirit into the wilderness: and I saw a woman sit upon a scarlet coloured beast, full of names of blasphemy, having seven heads and ten horns.

These so-called “holy“ Roman empires are truly and totally different than any of the three previous horns or the three previous beasts for that matter.

The 10 Horns of Daniel 7 are NOT the Toes

Three of the original 10 horns, or kingdoms, of the fourth beast are rooted up, never to return and are followed by the last 7 horns, now called 7 heads.  This is the appearance of the seven resurrections of the “holy” Roman Empire.

However, don't make the common mistake of thinking these original 10 horns are the 10 toes of the initial statue.  Those, being toes, are to come last.

Remember it was in the days of those toes that the Rock or Stone representing Jesus Christ smashes them and grows into a mountain, the Kingdom of God.

Later, in other visions, we discover these 10 toes are actually 10 kings that will be ruling in the very end times.  In fact we find they will turn and destroy the whore. But they will continue to exist only this time in conjunction with the eight head. But more to come on that later.

These will fight against Jesus Christ and his Saints at his return. They of course will be destroyed as the vision in Daniel 2:45 describes.

The Rock will smash them and then the wind will blow them away never to return.  This foretells a complete destruction of that kingdom as the entire statue falls, turning into dust and is blown away (Dan 2:35).

Since the statue represents ALL of the kingdoms it makes sense that all of the resurrections are referred to as "Babylon the Great".

But what it is important to know here is that these 10 toes are not the 10 horns of this vision but the final 10 Kings ruling with the final eighth head.

These 10 horns of the Daniel 7 vision the total resurrections of the Roman empire.  Those 10 include the secular resurrections of which there were three.

But we see there are 7 more and they will be VERY different.  They will be ruled over the very small but stout additional horn.

The following empires will now be called the “The Holy Roman Empire”.

The early Roman Empire had Caesars that ruled.  We will see now in this vision a small but MAJOR player in the next 7 resurrections.  Not a Caesar but one that rules with the same authority.

Starting in verse 8 we are introduced to another horn.  This one is small, stout and different that the other horns.

[Dan 7:8 NLT] 8 As I was looking at the horns, suddenly another small horn appeared among them. Three of the first horns were torn out by the roots to make room for it. This little horn had eyes like human eyes and a mouth that was boasting arrogantly.

The first 3 horns “torn out by the roots” are the secular kingdoms of Rome.  Like a weed uprooted the secular Rome will never return.

This additional little horn is stouter for it will appear alongside each of the remaining seven horns as they rise and fall from power.   This horn, though smaller is far more enduring.  It oversees the ripping out by the roots of three of the first horns.

We also learn in verse eight that this little stout horn has the eyes of a man and speaks amazing things.  This horn or man or mini kingdom “wages war against the saints”.

Changing times, seasons and laws.

Also, “times and seasons” are changed by it.  Thus prophesying the changing of the Sabbath to Sunday worship.

[Dan 7:25 NKJV] 25 He shall speak [pompous] words against the Most High, Shall persecute the saints of the Most High, And shall intend to change times and law. Then [the saints] shall be given into his hand For a time and times and half a time.

History shows us that the Catholic Church in fact did change the 10 Commandments, eliminating the 2nd, changed Passover to the pagan holiday Easter and moved the Sabbath from the 7th day to the Sunday.

So this Archbishop in 1562 AD declared “they have been changed by the authority of the Church”.

This little horn also brought about the replacement of God’s annual festivals with new “holidays”.

Passover changed to Easter (Astarte)

The New Catholic Encyclopedia explains: "Originally both observances [Passover and Easter] were allowed, but gradually it was felt incongruous that Christians should celebrate Easter on a Jewish feast, and unity in celebrating the principal Christian feast was called for" (1967, Vol. 5, p. 8, "Easter Controversy")

Of course Easter has it roots in paganism NOT in the scripture.

Easter is a pagan holiday that has morphed its way into Christianity. It was originally a holiday to the fertility goddess Aestarte, or Diana of Ephesus in the book of Acts.  Her followers raised quite a ruckus when Paul preached the Resurrection to the resident of that city (Acts 19).

Rabbits are fertile and notorious for breeding hence the Easter Bunnies. Easter Sunday Sunrise Services is supposed to honor when Christ was resurrected, but even that part isn’t true, for the disciples arriving in the dark found the tomb empty.

Prophecy of changing Laws in addition to the “seasons” or holy days.

[Dan 7:25 KJV] 25 And he shall speak [great] words against the most High, and shall wear out the saints of the most High, and think to change times and laws: and they shall be given into his hand until a time and times and the dividing of time.

Many are unaware that the Catholic Church’s changed the 10 Commandments to eliminate the prohibition against images.

Notice the 2nd Commandment, concerning images, has been removed and the 10th command of not coveting has been split into to two commands; not covering your neighbors wife and not coveting your neighbors goods.

Since these prophecies are so clear in scripture this false church took the  extraordinary action of banning the Word of God.

History shows that death by fire awaited anyone caught even having the Bible their possession.  It was a high crime to have it translated into ones native tongue.

Also to keep their followers in the dark they ordained that all their worship services were to be held in a foreign and dead tongue, Latin.

A Fallen Woman

These last 7 horns, now referred to as 7 heads, do have the name holy attached to them as they would be ruled by a long lasting papacy.  But they are anything but “holy”.  The Church or little horn does not appear to pick up arms, itself, to accomplish their will, however they direct these empires to do their will.  In fact many of the wars that are undertaken now have a new name, they are "the holy crusades” directed by the papacy, and killing the “infidels” could be rewarded by various spiritual gifts awarded by the Church.

As far as organization we see the little horn or kingdom patterned after the Roman political structure.  This is why it is called a horn as well, though a “little” horn.  It is an image of the Beast, smaller but longer lasting therefore it is also called “stout”.  Remember, horns, heads and Beasts are Kingdoms.

This image of the Beast is a Universal Church and calls herself “the bride of  Christ”.

They also claim the title of the Kingdom of God on Earth as stated on their website the CatholicBible101.

This little stout horn, though small controls the 7 successive beasts and thus controls their armies.

However, rather than being the bride of Christ, she in fact sells her self to the armies and to the Emperors.   We will see that, very plainly, later on in the 17th chapter of the Book of Revelation, where this “bride” is given a much different label.

The very last one of these 7 horns will be ruling until about midway through the day of the Lord, however for only a short time (Rev 17:3).

This seventh horn will have 10 kings, the 10 toes of Daniel 2, and this horn will receive a deadly wound and be replaced by a very similar head, the eighth head or Kingdom.  When this deadly wound is received not only does the 7th head disappear and one in its image rise up, but the whore or little horn disappears as well.  She will no longer rule but will be replaced by two devil driven individuals called the Beast and False Prophet.  More on them later.

Drunk on the Blood of the Saints

This same verse foretells the persecution, torture and killing of true Christians, the true bride of Christ, by this little horn.1

There is to be so much slaughter we learn of the magnitude of the slaughter as it is listed in three different places in the Book of Revelation.

[Rev 16:6 KJV] 6 For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets, and thou hast given them blood to drink; for they are worthy.

[Rev 17:6 KJV] 6 And I saw the woman drunken with the blood of the saints, and with the blood of the martyrs of Jesus: and when I saw her, I wondered with great admiration.

[Rev 18:24 KJV] 24 And in her was found the blood of prophets, and of saints, and of all that were slain upon the earth. that they were drunk on the blood of the Saints.

So, this dream in Daniel chapter 7 and its interpretation is really about this the fourth beast and that will be much stronger and different.

It will go through some transitions. Those transitions will occur when another tiny, yet “stout” kingdom will exercise great power over the remaining seven resurrections. And, we learned that this combination of little stout horn and seven big horns will be bad news for the Saints and it will remain in power until it is destroyed at the return of Jesus Christ.

Daniel’s Prayer is Answered

Daniel did understand prophecy and knew that the Jews were prophesied to be in captivity a certain amount of time.  That time period was 70 years and he was keeping track of the remaining  number of days until their captivity would be over.

He recognize that those days were about to come to an end and being the godly man that he was,  he sets his heart to ask God for forgiveness and to have mercy to his people and to remember his covenant.

He is praying for his people to remember the Covenant and for God to help his people fulfill that Covenant.   His prayers are heard and God and sends the angel Gabriel with a message.

A Messiah prophecy in Daniel

In Daniel Chapter 9 we find a prophecy that the Messiah will come.  But there is much confusion among the Jews about the Messiah. They just don’t realize he needed to be a suffering sacrifice Messiah before he returns as a victorious ruling king.

Daniel tells us that even though the Messiah shows up that he will be cut off in the middle of the week.   In a seven-year time cycle that would be 3 1/2 years into the ministry of the Messiah.   It could also means he would be crucified half way through the week which would be on a Wednesday.

Of course looking back on the life of Jesus Christ we realize that he did have a ministry of only 3 1/2 years and, in fact, was crucified on Wednesday.

And, just like the prophecy foretold, he would not be cut off for himself. Meaning for his own sins. Since he dies for our sins, and the sins of the world he actually stops the required sacrifices with his own.

We learn before all this happens a Greek general’s family would be in charge.  There would be a certain amount of time go by before the Messiah would appear.

It's not my purpose to go into those prophetic weeks and days but there were people that watched counted and waited for the Messiah to appear. For example there were individuals in the temple when Jesus was brought in as a baby. There's also an indication that the three Wiseman knew approximately the time the Messiah would be born.

In fact studying the prophecy in Revelation 12, that given to the Apostle John later, one can pinpoint to within an hour and a half of the birth of Jesus. And it’s easily provable that he was born on September 11th which, that year, would’ve been right after sundown on the Feast of Trumpets. But that's another story.2

Rome is in charge when the Messiah is born

The Roman Empire came in and replaced the Greek empire in 146 B.C. after the Battle of Corinth.  This brand of empire would rule a little over 500 years and would be made up of the three horns that were to be later ripped out by the roots.

It was this Empire the devil used to attempted to slaughter the baby Jesus. We read that it is the devil that tries to kill Jesus but he uses these Empires. In fact he’s in charge of all of these empires.3

Later after Christ’s Resurrection and the church was founded, this empire, under the direction of the general Titus destroyed the temple in Jerusalem and razed the city in 70 AD.

Then they persecuted Christians for another four hundred years persecuting those that would not partake and their pagan worship sometimes even feeding them to the lions in the Roman Colosseum.  All this time its headquarters were in the city of Rome.  No wonder God promises to destroy that city.  We’ll find that is the “deadly wound” to come.

However after 476 A.D. we see a totally different empire appear, occupying the same territories, having the same type of government, except there appears someone else, a little horn that is pulling the strings.

Because this new empire and its new leader ship and direction is so different we find another set of prophecies that specifically deal with this government and now it's time to take a look at them. It's important to not confuse horns, toes, crowns and beasts.

The Final Eight Head of the Beast

We have spent a lot of time covering the seven heads of the “holy” Roman Empire now let's look at the final eight head which is an image or a copy of the others except it has a new ruler.

In Revelation 13 the first beast rising out of the water is the entire history of all the beasts from start to finish (Rev 13:1-10) including a mention of the new 8th head and a closing comment that it will meet its end.

But beginning in verse 11 we find a new beast, the 8th, but this is more detail since it will be the one in power at Christ’s return.  The first 10 verses are a summary, but the rest of the chapter is about the end time (Rev 13:11-18).

So our next prophecy will deal with a NEW Beast.  It will be the eighth head and will be ruled over not by a little stout horn but a new lamb-beast that looks like a lamb but speaks like a dragon or the devil (Rev 13:11).   The prior seventh head will only rule for a short time with the 10 horns or the 10 kings.  But we will find elsewhere that God will put it in the heart of those kings to hate and destroy the whore (Rev 17:16).

There will be an eight head that comes out of those seven kingdoms and will be somewhat like them but still different.

It’s plain the woman from chapter 17, reigns or rides the first 7 heads but NOT this 8th one.

[Rev 17:9-12 KJV] 9 And here [is] the mind which hath wisdom. The seven heads are seven mountains, on which the woman sitteth.

These are the 7 kingdoms the whore reigns over. Remember a mountain is a kingdom.

10 And there are seven kings: five are fallen, and one is, [and] the other is not yet come; and when he cometh, he must continue a short space.

The 7th head is only around a short time before receiving a deadly wound.  The following 8th head is made up of some or all of the traits of the previous kingdoms, notice: “is of the seven” but will be destroyed at the return of the Messiah.

11 And the beast that was, and is not, even he is the eighth, and is of the seven, and goeth into perdition.

12 And the ten horns which thou sawest are ten kings, which have received no kingdom as yet; but receive power as kings one hour with the beast.

They will destroy the whore along with the 7th head via a “deadly wound” which elsewhere is referred to a “the sword” (Rev 13:14).

It appears the 10 Kings will lend their allegiance for a time to enable the rise of the 8th head which will be ruled by others now that the false church is gone.

These 10 Kings here are the same 10 Toes of Daniel chapter two and will ultimately be destroyed by the “stone without hands” or the returning Christ.

But back to the timeline.  After the 7th head receives its “deadly wound” and is healed and the new leaders along with the 10 Kings form a new Kingdom with a new government.  It is a new beast or kingdom but similar to the previous seven. It is an image or a copy of those previous seven heads but with new rulers.

Instead of the whore ruling a new miracle working duo I call the lamb-beast rules.  We now see the two characters commonly known as the “beast and false prophet” a lot.  The rise of this 8th Beast and its demonic rulers happens on the 5th of the 7 Trumps.

But you will NOT see mention of the whore any more after the first 4 Trumps as the 2nd Trump sent her and Rome into perdition.  This is the “deadly wound” via the sword.

[Rev 8:8 KJV] 8 And the second angel sounded, and as it were a great mountain burning with fire was cast into the sea: and the third part of the sea became blood;

Since it has killed so many saints and change so many things and been in bed with so many governments this is an appropriate analogy.

[Rev 18:21 NKJV] 21 Then a mighty angel took up a stone like a great millstone and threw [it] into the sea, saying, "Thus with violence the great city Babylon shall be thrown down, and shall not be found anymore.

Much detail has to be given about her sins because she is about to receive a terrible, terrible but just judgment. She will be burned with fire in her city will be destroyed. Never again will anyone enter into Rome. No visiting the Colosseum where Christians were killed, no visiting idols. It will be totally destroyed.

But how?

The Judgement of the Whore

Jeremiah chapter 51 talks about the judgment of Babylon by God and that it will be like a burned mountain.  It is worthwhile to read the entire chapter but here are few highlights.

[Jer 51:25-26, 42, 64 KJV] 25 Behold, I [am] against thee, O destroying mountain, saith the LORD, which destroyest all the earth: and I will stretch out mine hand upon thee, and roll thee down from the rocks, and will make thee a burnt mountain.

26 And they shall not take of thee a stone for a corner, nor a stone for foundations; but thou shalt be desolate for ever, saith the LORD. ...

42 The sea is come up upon Babylon: she is covered with the multitude of the waves thereof. ...

64 And thou shalt say, Thus shall Babylon sink, and shall not rise from the evil that I will bring upon her: and they shall be weary. Thus far [are] the words of Jeremiah.

We also find the first four Trumps, during the Day of the Lord, talk about a burning mountain. We know that the seventh head only last a short while.

We also know the 10 kings hate the whore and burn her and destroy the city via the sword.

Could this be nuclear some sort of sabotage?

Perhaps allowing the King of the  South (Muslims) to do the destruction for them.  After all it has always been the goal of Islam to enter and destroy Rome.

Here is a link to an excellent article on why Rome could fall to the Muslims.

The Great Whore, False Church and Stout Horn definitely disappears from the scene at the end of the fourth Trump which kicks off the Day of the Lord and the Year of Recompense.

The seventh head which she was part of has received a deadly wound which is  caused by God putting it in the minds of the 10 toes/kings to destroy the Harlot via the sword.

It is a few months until the first Woe or the fifth Trumpet sounds and that is when the deadly wound is healed.  This eighth empire has a different master but is so much like the previous 7 heads it is called an image or a copy of that beast.

As the Scripture says it is part of the seven but it is at the eighth but ultimately it will go to destruction, meaning it will be ruling when Jesus, the stone without hands returns. The 10 kings are still part of the eighth head but the whore is gone.

Babylon falls TWICE

The first time is at the start of the seven Trumps when the city of Rome is destroyed, burnt with fire and “thrown” into the sea.  This is the deadly wound which happens to the 7th head.  The destruction of the “little horn” that rules over that 7th head certainly qualifies as a “deadly wound to the beast”.

After a new leader arises out of the earth it takes over the empire and heals it thus becoming the 8th head which, “is of the 7”.  Same deal only a different “boss”.

Remember Jerusalem is still occupied by the Islamic forces as the 42 months is not yet finished.  The new beast will invade Jerusalem recapturing it “for Christianity”.  Daniel covers it briefly when he says the King of the South (Islam) pushes against the King of the North (8th head) and then it is destroyed.4

As a result of this victory all the world will wonder at the healing of the deadly wound and its war making power. 5

Remember when Rome or the first Babylon falls the merchants of the earth will weep. That shows that there's some time after that until the great wound is healed and we have a new beast, which is the next Babylon.

Now this 8th head rules from the 5th Trump, around Christmas of 2025 until it is destroyed by the 7 last plagues.  This is the 2nd fall of Babylon.  We find an angel proclaiming after all the plagues are done that “Babylon has fallen, has fallen”.

This Babylon (8th head) has taken over Jerusalem but it will be invaded by the 200,000,000 man army from the east (China and maybe others).  This is made possible by the 6th plague, the drying up of the great river Euphrates.

The capturing of Jerusalem and the raping of women mentioned in Zech 14:2 is done by this invading Chinese lead army.

[Zec 14:2 KJV] 2 For I will gather all nations against Jerusalem to battle; and the city shall be taken, and the houses rifled, and the women ravished; and half of the city shall go forth into captivity, and the residue of the people shall not be cut off from the city.

In fact it seems nearly all of the plagues may have something to do with a nuclear attack.  The 5th Plague may well be describing an EMP attack which throws “the great city” (Jerusalem) into darkness.  God used the Assyrians to punish Israel he may well use the Chinese to punish the 8th head of Babylon.

The end of Revelation 16 tells SOME of what occurs at the 7th plague with more detail given in Zech 14 which describes the effect upon the armies.  But in Rev 18 we hear that Babylon “is fallen, is fallen”.  This is because Rome fell then the new empire, with Jerusalem as its new headquarters has now fallen too.

Rev 17-18 are Two Insert Chapters

Now we have the pouring out of the plagues completed in Revelation 16. However only a few details are mentioned there.  We know Christ is the victor against the beast and the armies of the world from Zech 14.  But before Revelation gets to more detail of Christ and his saints arriving for battle we have two chapters that are inset to describe to us the fate of both Babylons.

First we have more detail than ever about Rome in Chapter 17.  It cover its entire history.  Next we cover the 2nd Babylon that took over from the wounded 7th head.  More details are laid out here.

Now it is time to move to the 19th chapter when we learn about the army coming with Christ.  We find the marriage supper has already occurred, probably immediately after the Resurrection at the 7th Trump.

We are back on a timeline with us finishing up the battle and the judging and punishment of the beast and false prophet and the devil being locked up as well.  Now we can move into the 1,000 year Millennium to follow.

True Bride

14th chapter of the book of Revelation takes time out to explain a bit about the real church. We learn that they keep the commandments of God and yet they are slaughtered by the false Church.

An interesting sidelight is that this true bride is redeemed before the seven last plagues.  Of course those plagues follow the seventh Trump which as we all know is when the church is resurrected.

It will take a while for these plagues to be poured out with their culmination occurring on feast of trumpets when Christ actually lands on earth to take control. In fact in Zechariah that last plague is the melting away of the skin of the armies that are fighting against Christ.

This timeline would seem to indicate that the church would be resurrected on the Feast of the First-fruits or Pentecost. That would close out the barley harvest that began with Christ as the wave chief and then the church on Pentecost 2000 years prior.

The rapture is incorrect

Many churches believe in the rapture that would whisk away Christians before the tribulation. However the first resurrection occurs partway through the day of the Lord. So they are protected from "the hour of trial" that comes on the entire world. That hour are the plagues.

They will have to go through some of the tribulation however. But God does seem to indicate he will protect his people at the start of the 7 Seals.

But when Christ calls out and wakes us from the dead and raise us is up to meet him we will be with him in the marriage supper will occur and the door will be shut to those other people. Those people are to symbolized by the five sleeping virgins.

This resurrection could happen fairly secretly with the exception of the world seeing the two witnesses being raised. So this is the time that God is talking about when there are two in the field or two in the bed and one is left and one is taken.

However, when he returns as King of kings all eyes will see him. Jesus was very clear in the statement in Matthew 24, Luke 21 and Mark chapter 13.

He said definitely do not believe if somebody has to tell you that the Messiah is somewhere. He saying when I come back to rule everyone will see it.

This of course ties into the new beast at the end times that is in control of the eighth head of the Roman empire. This beast looks like Christ in that it is a lamb with two horns. However if you listen closely it speaks like the devil.

So finally to say that the resurrection is in the middle of the day of the Lord prior to Jesus actually landing on earth is not saying we believe in the rapture as the way the rapture is presented by Christianity.

With this timeline the Saints would be with Christ until he returns on Feast of Trumpets.  Zech 14 says Christ will bring the Saints with him.

Sleeping Virgins miss the wedding

Rev 14:13 is an interesting verse because it seems to indicate that the Saints that die from there on forward will have to have patience.  Careful reading shows this is AFTER the first Resurrection.  There is another until the 1,000 years are past as Rev 20:4 clearly points out.  They must have been asleep.

It says they will rest and their reward will be waiting for them. But since they were slumbering when the Seventh trump blew they missed the wedding. But they need to keep the commandments and be patient.  They will rest, or die but they will be assured their works will follow them.  That is because they will be the sheep that are resurrected at the last great day.

But they will have to wait, or rest 1,000 years for their reward.
